This will be a silent auction.

Lots in this auction carry a reserve and the reserves will not be made public. Estimates are provided for each lot, and are intended as a guide only.

Viewing of the lots will commence at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2005 and the
auction will close at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2005.

BID INCREMENTS
Up to $999, bidding will increase in $10 increments.
$1,000 and above, bidding will increase in $25 increments.

BUYER' PREMIUM
There is no buyer's premium — what you bid is what you pay.

PAYMENT
We accept cash, cashier's checks, money orders, personal checks (by prior arrangement only please), and MasterCard and Visa. Please note that credit card payments are subject to a 5% surcharge. Please note that we are required to charge applicable Arizona state sales tax, unless successful bidders can provide us with a resale number.

IN-PERSON BIDDERS
In-person bids may be placed at any time during the viewing period. To place an in-person bid, please visit our showroom, and write your name and maximum bid on the applicable bidding sheet(s) provided. The person who has made the highest written bid on each lot will win, provided the reserve has been met. Written bids are visible to everyone participating in the auction.

ABSENTEE BIDDERS
We are happy to accept absentee bids for the 2005 R. A. Langheinrich Meteorites auction. Absentee bids will be held in strict confidence by an independent agent. Absentee bidders must register with us, by email, not later than Noon on Saturday, February 5, 2005. If two maximum bids of the same amount are received, the earlier bid will take precedence.

The auctioneer will act as proxy for absentee bidders. Your bids will be increased only a needed to surpass the next-highest bid — or the reserve — up to your maximum stated amount. For example: The reserve on Lot XX is $1,000. You are bidder #1 and have placed an absentee bid in the amount of $2,000. Bidder #2 has entered a maximum bid of $1,100. As your proxy, the auctioneer will enter a bid of $1,125 (only increasing the amount as required to best the next-highest bid), and you become the high bidder.
