Allan's work in meteoritics and paleontology often takes him to exciting and unusual parts of the world, and we will do our best to bring you the highlights of his adventures. Recent expeditions have included successful meteorite hunting in Park Forest, Illinois; a hair-raising expedition to the wilds of Kenya; digging for fabulous Phacops rana trilobites in Sylvania, Ohio; an expedition to England's Jurassic Coast in search of beautiful ammonites; excavations at the world-famous Lang's Quarry; and much more. MAJOR DISCOVERIES AT LANG'S QUARRY

This spring, major new paleontology finds were made at Lang's Quarry by Allan Lang, and paleontologists Zarko Ljuboja and Leon Theisen. Discoveries included the extremely rare Silurian eurypterid Dolichopterus, and an exceptional multiple plate containing thirteen fossil arthropods. Learn more:    >>>

KENYA ADVENTURE

In March, 2003 Allan Lang and friends flew to Nairobi, Kenya, then traveled through some of Africa's roughest terrain in an ex-army vehicle. They encounter killer bees, armed bounty hunters, and much more in an exciting search for meteorites and fossils. Learn more:   >>>

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM, LONDON VISITS US

During the winter of 2002, Dr. Andrew Ross, Curator of Fossil Arthropods at London's Museum of Natural History visited Lang's Quarry with his colleagues. The NHM team stayed with us for several days and we donated nearly 50 rare fossils to the NHM. Learn more:   >>>
