ABOUT US - R.A. LANGHEINRICH METEORITES
Allan Langheinrich—better known to his friends as Allan Lang—is known throughout the world, for both his meteorite and fossil collections. He went into business in 1971—first with Lang's Fossils, and then expanding into R.A. Langheinrich Meteorites. He has introduced many collectors and dealers to the field of meteoritic's, in fact, a number of today's dealers purchased their first meteorite from Allan!
Allan is a master tool and die maker, and maintains a world class cutting and preparation facility at his workshop in Ilion, New York. He has been employed by some of the world's most prestigious institutions for his meteorite cutting and preparation skills. Clients include the following: The American Museum of Natural History in New York, The Natural History Museum (London), Harvard University, and many others.
Specimens from the R.A. Langheinrich Meteorite Collection have been contributed to numerous museums and research institutions including: The American Museum of National History, The Smithsonian Institution, The Max-Planck-Institute, The Natural History Museum (London), and The Center for Meteorite Studies at Arizona State University.
For many years, R.A. Langheinrich Meteorites have been annual exhibitors at the world's major shows, including: The Tucson Gem & Mineral show in Arizona, the Munich show, the International Meteorite Fair at Gifhorn in German, the Tokyo International Mineral Association show, and the Sainte-Marie Aux Mines show in France, and for the past twelve years, Allan has been the international representative for the Tokyo International Mineral Association (TIMA).
Allan has retired and does not do the shows anymore. He still enjoys collecting and has a large meteorite inventory for sale.
